Ishi and Studios Beginning Band Performance

Band students from Ishi Hills Middle School and Studios recently took the stage at the 10th Annual “Dream Big Concert” at the historic Oroville State Theatre. The event featured two special performances that celebrated music and inspired future musicians in our community.

During the morning performance, local 5th grade students from schools throughout the greater Oroville area attended the concert. The goal of this performance was to introduce elementary students to the excitement of live band music and encourage them to consider joining their middle school beginning bands as they prepare to transition to middle school next year. Our 6th grade beginning bands performed splendidly.

In the evening, the 7th and 8th grade band students performed for families, friends, and community members, showcasing their hard work, dedication, and musical talent. The performance highlighted the growth of our student musicians and provided a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and support the arts.

The Dream Big Concert continues to be a meaningful tradition that not only celebrates music but also inspires the next generation of student musicians in Oroville. We are proud of our Ishi and Studios band students for representing our schools and community so well. 🎶

From our Band Director, Ms. Crouson: "6th Grade Beginning Band students played in the morning portion and did a fabulous job! They had a wonderful time on their first band fieldtrip, and they made some new band friends. The 7th and 8th Grade band students closed out the night time portion of the concert with a march written by John Phillip Sousa. They all worked so hard and they sounded awesome as one huge ensemble"

Thank you to our AMAZING band director, Ms. Crouson, for providing such great experiences for our band students. Thank you Ishi band students for your hard work and dedication! We are all very proud of you!
