A major roofing replacement project aat Wyandotte Academy is well underway!

Mrs Huru's class a the OCESD Summer Program hsa students learning with ozobots.
Ozobots are small robots that repsond to a map by ink pen color, changing the color or pattern of the line will change the direction of the bot.
West Coast Falconry shared owls today at OCESD Summer Program. The 5th and 6th graders have been learning about owls and today they got to meet some. Our presenter Kate shared so many interesting facts with our students and answered all of their questions.
Tonight's OCESD Board Meeting may be the final opportunity for public input on the OCESD Trustee Area maps.

Sunday Free Program at North Forebay
Butterfly day at Summer Progam. Interpreters from the #LOSRA Lake Oroville State Recreation Area presented to our students about the life cylce of a butterfly.
Mrs. Huru's class is learning about money by playing the "Pig Game" coins are awarded for the way the pigs land. If they land on their side they get a penny, on their snout a quarter, Then students add of the coins they collected by rolling and write it donw on the white board.
6th graders in the OCESD summer program are exploring the world of owls. Learning about their habitat, behaviors and survival. Today, under the guidance of teacher Sean Miller and Instructional assistant Griffin Nilsson, students each dissected and owl pellet, to learn what owls eat.
Oakdale School hosted the free kids farmers market. Families had the opportunity to pick up local vegetables and fruit provided by several participating partners including Butte County Office of Education. #cityofOroville Mayor Dave Pittman spoke to over 100 students attending summer school to talk about nutrition.

The OCESD summer program is off to a great start. Today students joined Donner Memorial State Park to learn about the Gold Rush and getting across the Sierras. Stories told using live video feed with a State parks interpreter.
Goats have begun grazing at Ishi Hills Middle School to reduce fuels and help prevent fires.
The first phase of construction has begun at The Studios @ Central and Ishi Hills Middle School for the new outdoor, covered basketballs and PE structures!
